Outside of trip excursions, hotels, restaurants, historical landscapes, and such how you carry your stuff while exploring a new city is an important decision to make. Well, at least for me it is. On past trips, I’ve been content with my black crossover bag. But as I think about my upcoming trip to Rome, the idea of that crossover bag, or any crossover bag for that matter, really has me yawning.
I need a new look. I need something new to look at in post vacation pictures. Somehow, someway on figuring out my new “bag look,” fanny packs or what I would rather refer to them as, waist bags, popped up as an option. Sure, waist bags summon up visions of unfashionable mothers pulling six kids behind them at Disney World and grandmothers pulling out cash from them to pay for their mid-afternoon dinner. But thankfully, they also remind me of the teacher who taught my one and only fashion class in college.
She was classy, simple, and was also a stylist. Everyday she wore what I now know was a Gucci waist bag. It was small, delicate, and so chic. So, in an effort to change my upcoming travel look, I took to the web to find some great fashion forward waist bags. Here are 4 that just might make it on my trip.
1. White Alligator Vinyl Fanny Pack
I love this bag! The shape is so unique, and the best part is that it comes in red. The more I look at, the more certain I am that it will make it with me to Rome.
2. Kinies Ruffled Waist Purse
Ruffles! I love anything that screams GIRL TIME! And this does just that. I can definitely picture me wearing this bag over a simple cotton shirt and jeans.
3. The Hipshack
It’s PINK! If you’ve spent only a few minutes on this site, you probably can tell that I have a small fondness for the color pink. But I have to say the best thing about this bag is that it is denim.
4. Utility Leather Belt
I really like the simplicity of this bag.
